Ondoy was really, really bad. Despite all the efforts to rebuild the nation, my country
is still in dire need of help. Please read BlackMageAlodia's journal to know more about
what had happened (for those of you who are still in the dark regarding this) and for
more information on how to help.

But I give to those who already did my sincerest gratitude. Sniff. Thank you so much
for the love. :happycry:

Relief operations in my school, Ateneo de Manila University. Photo taken by my sister BlackMageAlodia.

Here I was with my friends doing volunteer work in Caloocan, giving out medicines and food to the
victims of the typhoon.

It felt really good to be able to help. Seeing the people's predicament and how they
really needed our help made me feel like crying.

But even though that final incident occurred, the ransacking of the vehicles and the
throwing of hurtful words by some of the people who weren't able to receive anything,
even if it did discourage my team a lot, I guess it didn't stop us from feeling satisfied
that we got to help nonetheless.

It was a really great experience.

My sister BlackMageAlodia and I, though, were stuck inside the house on the day of the
storm. So we came up with these pictures and turned them into some sort of a tribute to
the sun to make the rain go away.

For those who think it was heartless for us to do a photoshoot while people were suffering,
well, think harder. But if you are unable to do that, then I suggest you go read the description
of this deviation instead. :p I really do hope you haters would be enlightened. :peace:

Sigh.

Now Pepeng is happening. Some people say it's the end of the world. If it is, then it came
3 years too early. :( Bahh. Let's all pray it doesn't get as strong as predicted. I really
really do hope it doesn't. The Philippines is very badly damaged as it is already, and we
don't need another typhoon to trash it all up again. :(

Meh. Enough about disasters. :disbelief:

I finished reading 3 books in the past 2 days. It's called the Blue Bloods series by
Melissa de la Cruz. You could say it's another teeny vampire series like Twilight, but not
quite. It's actually got pretty smart facts and a pretty original concept of the vampires
being fallen angels. They die of old age, and then get reincarnated. It's pretty cool.
And I'm digging the love story. Haha!

And what makes it even cooler is that the author is a Filipina! Who grew up in the US.
I actually didn't realize this 'til I finished all three books and started researching
on the next one haha! Which will be coming out in a few days, btw. I can't wait! :la:

Going back to reading made me reminisce about my bookworm days. It's hilarious how I
used to write about my fictional crushes all the time in my early blogs, which I am too
shy to share with you guys, but here are the links anyway for those who need a good laugh. :XD:

Some of my entries there are really embarrassing. I was such a kid! LOL. But I guess it's all
good. It was quite amusing and fulfilling, anyway, to go back and recall all those moments,
laugh, and realize how much I've grown up in such a short time.

It's good to remember.

I've been curious about Blue Bloods for quite some time now, but I haven't tried touching it ever since the Twilight boom LOL; seems that there had been a lot of vampire-themed novels coming out lately, and I was kinda hesitant to try and read them in fear of comparing it to Twilight in the end. Is Blue Bloods better than Twilight, though? I do like Twilight but I'm getting kinda sick of it. :D
